My baby sister, Monique, is a Pre-K teacher at a really cool private school.  It's one of the few schools left anywhere that lets their kids celebrate Halloween!  It's not just the last half hour of the day in the classroom either, it's the whole afternoon and the entire school is involved with all kinds of games and activities.  The local t.v. station comes every year to film their costume parade!

At our recent stamp camp we were making all kinds of treat holders.  She wanted to make something special, but she knew the kids would already be getting a TON of candy at the school-wide Halloween party, and she didn't want to add to the sugar-high, so we came up with fun water bottles.
This would be great for your classroom, club meeting, or to put on your co-worker's desks.  It's easy, too!  We wrapped a piece of Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper around the bottle to cover up the label.  Then we punched a 2-3/8" scallop circle out of Tangerine Tango card stock and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensional foam dots.  I didn't have an assortment of Halloween stamps to use, so I turned to My Digital Studio (MDS).  I quickly downloaded the Spooky Bingo Bits and printed them out on Whisper White card stock, punched them out with the 1-3/4" circle punch and adhered them to the scallop circles with Stampin' Dimensionals foam dots.
To make the bottles even more fun for the kids, we adhered a 1" circle of Basic Black card stock to the lid and added a large Googly eye!!!

Monique is the one that should have a blog!  You can't believe all the fun stuff she does with her students.  I'm on her mailing list and every week when I get her classroom newsletter I wish I was a little kid!!!  I'm absolutely AMAZED at the things she teaches these 3-5 year old students.  The only problem is, I'm afraid it's all downhill from here for these kids; when they "Graduate" and go to grade school they are going to be sooooo disappointed.

I would love to "follow" your blog, but I only saw the email option. Can you add a "Follow Me" Google button, for those of us who don't follow by email or Facebook?

    1. Hi Micki,

I'm so glad you liked the project. If I knew how to add a "Follow Me" Google button I would. I'll try to figure that out. Unfortunately, I'm not very tech savvy and I'm teaching myself as I go. I look forward to visiting "Avenue of Art". Hope you come back to visit again.
